Doubt-Doubt (疑わしきは罰せよ Dauto Dauto) is the Servamp of Envy. His Eve is Mikuni Alicein, who also refers to him as Jeje (ジェジェ). He's the third oldest of the Servamps.

Appearance

Jeje is incredibly tall (made even more so by the addition of three paper bags on his head), his face is not revealed until chapter 125, since it is always hidden by his bags (or on one occasion by Mikuni's hat). He is usually seen wearing long black robes with two ammo belts around his waist, with long wide sleeves that hide his hands full of guns. When he is in animal form, he is often loosely wrapped around Mikuni's shoulders, hidden in his stole.

Personality

Jeje is very calm and quiet - he nearly never talks - and if he does he mostly mumbles. He likes to build ships in a bottle and likes being on his own. He hates it when Mikuni promises him his blood and then breaks his promise, and even knowing Mikuni always says "no" if Jeje wants his blood - Jeje falls for it, believing his Eve and hoping to get some.

History

Not much is known about his background, he is the third oldest of the Servamps.

At the Servamp meeting to decide if they were to kill Sensei, Doubt-Doubt voted yes. He was concerned with Sensei possibly making more servamps and wished to settle things calmly.

Misono's father told Mahiru and his friends that All of Love invited Doubt Doubt to the Alicein's mansion a few decades ago and lived in the cellar ever since. The truth is, Doubt Doubt had been sealed in the basement under the Alicein mansion along with Sleepy Ash and Tstubaki for two centuries and only woke up about a decade ago when the seal was broken.

Mikuni's mother formed a contract with him and kept him until Mikuni formed a new one. He named him Jeje and used him to kill his mother. After that incident, Doubt-Doubt left the mansion together with Mikuni.

He followed his Eve and together with him, he joined C3 and the two of them teamed up with Tsurugi Kamiya. He and Tsurugi seemed to talk every night.

Later, he and his Eve left C3 again and went their own path.

Weapon and Abilities

Transformation

  • Like the other Servamps Jeje's capable of swapping between a human form and an animal form, and then he'll revert to his animal form when he gets exposed to sunlight. Jeje's animal form is a black snake, with a yellow cross behind his head. He's capable of speech while in animal form.

  • Jeje fights using a variety of guns he either generates (like the other vampires generate their weapons) or hides under his clothing, he is an expert shooter and is capable simultaneously dodging and shooting at other people's bullet.

Relationships

Mikuni's mother

Mikuni's mother formed a contract with him and kept him until Mikuni formed a new contract. Then he named him Jeje and used him to kill his mother After that incident, Doubt-Doubt left the mansion together with Mikuni.

Mikuni Alicein ( Eve )

Mikuni is Jeje's eve whom he has had a contract with for seven years after Mikuni's mother .

Mikuni and Jeje overall have a good relationship despite their differences. Mikuni often lies to Jeje to do what he orders him to do by promising he will give the vampire his blood, a promise that he never keeps yet Jeje always falls for the lie. This always ends up with Jeje shooting Mikuni out of anger and Mikuni simply teases him more. Mikuni also likes to do things without asking for Jeje's permission, leading the Eve to receive the end of Jeje's gun but Mikuni always has a way to convince him. Jeje's quiet nature also makes him annoyed whenever Mikuni starts getting noisy, usually ditching him for a while until he stops being loud. Despite this, there are times Jeje will listen and carry out Mikuni's order even without the false promise of drinking his blood. Jeje's decision to accompany Mikuni partly seems due to what happened to Mikuni's mother seven years ago, the event most likely made him feel guilty.

  • His face is shown in the first chapter cover, though his designed changed when his face is fully revealed in chapter 125.
  • Mikuni does not give Jeje his blood (except for once - which was necessary to form a contract).

  • His birthday is the day after Mikuni's.
  • According to Kuro in the spring drama CD, Jeje hates loud noises.
